Babel

Babel, wood and resin centrepiece by Zpstudio Tools. Photo Gildardo GalloBabel is a centerpiece made with beech tree and synthetic resin, and it recalls a childrens’ game called “throw the ring”, where you have to hit the target throwing some plastic or wooden rings into a pole. The two wooden rings are made at the wood lathe with precisely calculated diameter, so that each one of them can fit the central pole by geometry. The pole is made by pouring resin into a mould, and then completed at the lathe as well, with a raw finishing. The whole process is manufactured by an artisan potter in Sesto fiorentino.
